El 15-M se cuela en la Junta de Accionistas del Banco Santander

Un accionista cede su turno de palabra a un portavoz del Movimiento 15-M y otro pide explicaciones a Botín sobre el auto de ayer, "que no es un Ferrari"

La Junta de Accionistas del Banco Santander ha vivido hoy un pequeña bronca entre un accionista de la entidad, Antonio Panea, y su presidente, Emilio Botín.

Durante su intervención, Panea ha propuesto "una remoción" contra Botín basándose, según sus propias palabras, en que el presidente del Santander "está siendo objeto de una investigación fiscal que fue conocida ayer por medio de un auto, que no es un Ferrari precisamente" [tenéis algo más de información aquí]. Tras mencionar la marca de Fórmula 1 que patrocina el banco, Botín le ha interrumpido pidiéndole que se atenga a la orden del día de la Junta ya que él no comenta "temas judiciales".

Panea, como respuesta, le ha espetado a Botín que "es un maleducado y no tiene ni idea del derecho de sociedades". "Si no le gusta lo que está oyendo, no me deje entrar. Los indignados crecerán aquí dentro, están en la puerta los del 15-M, dentro de un poco estarán aquí dentro porque lo que usted hace es antidemocrático...". De nuevo, Botín le ha interrumpido mientras Panea gritaba "¡usted no sabe lo que está diciendo!". Finalemente, Botín le ha retirado la palabra ante los aplausos de los demás accionistas.

Además, otro accionista ha cedido su turno de palabra a un portavoz del movimiento 15-M, que ha aprovechado para pedir a la banca que deje de "buscar beneficios a cualquier precio". Durante su intervención, el portavoz ha leído un manifiesto para subrayar que "la crisis actual es un agujero más del cinturón financiero que aprisiona los sueños de los ciudadanos de un futuro mejor".

También ha denunciado "la especulación, guiada por beneficios de cortoplacismo", que ha sembrado en la sociedad "la semilla de la injusticia" y una "desigualdad" con la que hacer "el pan de la indignación".

El portavoz ha pedido a los accionistas que se unan a "elaborar los cimientos de una nueva sociedad" en la que "la humanidad pueda poseer su destino".

No menospreciemos el poder que tenemos como consumidores / clientes siempre que veamos el consumo como un acto político -Recordad esa maravillosa frase "lo personal es político", que las feministas (o si lo preferís, antipatriarcalistas) no nos cansamos de repetir ;)

It also denounced "speculation, driven by short-termism benefits" which has planted in society, "the seed of injustice" and "inequality" that has been the raw material to bake "the bread of indignation."

The spokesman called on shareholders to join the people who are trying to "develop the foundations of a new society" in which "humanity can own its destiny".
